Jacob Wolhandler is a filmmaker and writer who was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, and is currently attending The New School in New York City (on hiatus due to COVID). He is an avid writer, who has been recognized by his school for his literary talent.
Jacob is also functionally bilingual, having spent time in Nicaragua and Guatemala. Since a young age, he was highly invested in the wellbeing of his community—both local and global—engaging in myriad humanitarian and service-oriented pursuits, including working with environmental nonprofit Earth Guardians, volunteering at the North Boulder Homeless shelter, and providing medication and education to expecting mothers in Jalapa, Nicaragua. He is fascinated by the process of learning, and traveled to China in 2018 to study their educational
In his free time, Jacob enjoys reading, playing soccer, playing chess, and making movies.
