Sheila is a Boulder local and engineer. They grew up attending BCSIS, Casey, Boulder High, and finally completed a B.S. in electrical & computer engineering from CU Boulder in 2019. They have worked a variety of jobs from building frequency combs to monitor methane emissions to quality assurance to farms in Greece and hostels in Patagonia.

While in school, Sheila enjoyed almost all subjects (with a particular soft spot for calculus) but struggled with the day-to-day of keeping up with all of their assignments and preparing for exams. Though it took gradual change sustained over time, they were able to work past these problems and succeed in their goals. They’re hoping to bring some of this lived experience to help students overcome their challenges and reach their full potential.
