Tyler is a native Californian who has come to Colorado to pursue his M.A. in Literature at CU Boulder with the intention of becoming an English professor. He brings a breadth of experience in the field of education, at first as a substitute teacher, then as a tutor, and most recently having wrapped up a year and a half as a 6th-grade teacher in Los Angeles. His effectiveness as an educator rests upon an innate ability to relate to his students and build authentic relationships with them.
His main goal as an educator is to stir up curiosity in students that will propel them to learn about themselves and discover what they’re passionate about in life.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys reading and writing, playing bass guitar, doing yoga, and anything outdoor/sports related. He hopes to learn how to snowboard in the near future and plans on purchasing a motorcycle as soon as his partner gives the OK.
